Bio

Dr. Mari presently is Assistant Professor of Neurology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore. He is the Director of the National Parkinson Foundation Center of Excellence at Johns Hopkins University. His clinical practice focuses on movement disorders, including dystonia, Parkinson’s disease and related syndromes, and essential tremor, with particular interest in deep brain stimulation therapy and botulinum toxin injections. He is an avid educator and has organized and directed courses and workshops to teach other physicians how to manage dystonia, particularly with the use of botulinum toxin injections, as well as on Parkinson’s disease. His clinical interests also include clinical neurophysiology, including nerve conduction/electromyography and intra-operative monitoring.
