    DESCRIPTION

Interpretation of cardiac CT examinations is a specialized and evolving field which requires mastery of a number of visualization skills and practice to reinforce their proper application. Current guidelines recommend that a minimum of 50 cardiac CT studies be interpreted annually to maintain competence. This course fulfills the requirement for annual interpretation of at least 50 studies by allowing each participant to review at their own workstation at least 50 cases. The cases have been selected to represent a range of pathology and clinical scenarios for which cardiac CT is utilized.

    WHO SHOULD ATTEND

This activity is intended for cardiologists, radiologists and physicians who have achieved level 2 or level 3 training and desire mentored review of additional cases to maintain competency or gain further experience.

    OBJECTIVES

After attending this activity, the participant will demonstrate the ability to:
    • Interpret cardiac CT angiograms with greater skill and confidence
    • Apply current appropriateness criteria for patient selection and preparation
    • Utilize advanced workstation techniques and tools to visualize complex coronary anatomy
    • Apply results of recent clinical studies on the role of cardiac CT in assessment and management of cardiac disease
