DESCRIPTION

This one-day, case-based format symposium is designed to update primary care and cardiology physicians and allied health professionals on arrhythmia management topics including cardiac electronic implantable devices, inherited arrhythmia disorders, and catheter ablation. There will be ample panel discussion and question and answer time, in an open forum setting, to address these important clinical topics.

OBJECTIVES

After attending this activity, the participant will demonstrate the ability to:
  • Review and discuss the safety and reliability of cardiac electronic implantable devices and recent recall issues.
  • Review and discuss new approaches for management of atrial fibrillation.
  • Identify current strategies for management of ventricular tachycardia.
  • Examine best practices for cardiac resynchronization therapy candidate selection.
